There’s a damn good reason Evanescence are where they are. They rule. Active rock with a female singer who can belt it out with the best of them. Textures and nuances make this shine. My one problem with this band is that millions know them, but have no clue that they’re merely the most popular, but surely not the only, and not even the best, of this genre. There’s a whole genre of bands like this who can’t sell 1000 CDs in the States, yet everyone with ears has heard Evanescence.
