Mogwai Premieres New Track “San Pedro” Available FREE via Pitchfork!

Mogwai premiered “San Pedro,” another stellar track from the amazingly titled new album, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will , which is set to be released on February 15, 2011 on Sub Pop Records in North America, and through the band’s very own label in the UK, Rock Action Records.

The track “Rano Pano” from the upcoming album will also be released as a 7″ single on January 18th via Sub Pop, with the non-album track “Hasenheide” as the B-side. And if you pre-order the album on SubPop.com you get a pair of earplugs, and for anyone that has been to a Mogwai gig knows, this is the perfect accompaniment gift! Rock Action will release “Mexican Grand Prix” as a single on February 7th, along with the non-album b-side “Slight Domestic.”

There will also be a Limited Edition version of the album, which includes a bonus CD featuring a 26 minute long piece called “The Singing Mountain,” recorded for Douglas Gordon and Olaf Nicolai’s “Monument for Forgotten Future” installation in Essen, Germany. The band will be bringing their awesome live show across the globe, kicking off their world tour with a 5 show stint in their native Scotland before heading out to Japan, Ireland, UK, Europe and US with one-off shows taking place in Tokyo, Japan on February 2nd, with more details to follow.
