January 18th, 2011- Seattle, WA – The Twilight Singers will embark on their first European tour in five years beginning March 18th in London at the Electric Ballroom.  Tickets for most shows go on sale on this week.  Dates are still being added and more will be announced in the coming weeks.

The band will celebrate the launch of their forthcoming album Dynamite Steps (Out in the US on February 15th and worldwide on February 14th) by performing two special shows at Amoeba Music in Los Angeles (Feb 15th) and the San Francisco Amoeba Music store (Feb 17th) the week of release.  These will be the first ever in store performances for the group.

The following week, The Twilight Singers will return to Jimmy Kimmel Live on February 23rd to perform their latest single “On The Corner” The song is currently available as a free download at the Sub Pop Records website here.

For fans that can’t wait to hear the entire album, Dynamite Steps is available for pre-order at www.subpop.com, with every purchase an automatic stream of the album becomes available. As an added bonus, The Twilight Singers have recorded versions of “Don’t Call” (Desire) and “Ballad of Pure Thought” (Millionaire) for a limited edition CDR to be shipped to fans that participate in the pre-order. Various guests contribute to the new album, including: Ani DiFranco, Joseph Arthur, Petra Haden, Carina Round, Nick McCabe (The Verve) and Mark Lanegan.

Rising to fame as the magnetic leader of the Afghan Whigs during the 80’s & 90’s; Greg Dulli followed his muse and began to innovatively fuse indie, soul and electronic sounds in his post-Whigs collective The Twilight Singers, who released their first album, Twilight As Played By The Twilight Singers, in 2000.  Their beloved second album Blackberry Belle followed in 2003, followed by a covers album She Loves You in 2004.   2006’s Powder Burns made many critics “Best Of” year end lists. In 2008 he teamed up with long time friend Mark Lanegan to form The Gutter Twins who released the critically acclaimed album Saturnalia the same year.
