Glasvegas To Release Follow Up To Their Critically Acclaimed Debut

Scottish four-piece Glasvegas are set to release their eagerly anticipated new album ‘EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\‘. The new album was written, demoed and tracked in Santa Monica, CA then recorded in London with producer Flood (U2, The Killers, Depeche Mode).  ‘EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\’ contains eleven blistering new songs and sees the band recapture their atmospheric anthemic sound whilst moving in new directions both musically and lyrically. The album will be made available digitally on Columbia Records on April 5th.

Introducing a new Swedish drummer, Glasvegas features James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (guitar), Paul Donoghue (bass) and Jonna Lofgren (drums).

Since their debut eponymous masterpiece was released in September 2008 (reaching No. 2 in the UK Album Charts, critically-lauded, Mercury Prize nominated in 2009), Glasvegas have toured relentlessly throughout the UK, Europe, Japan and the US (a marathon six U.S. tours from October 2008 to September 2009), been on support tours with Oasis, Kings of Leon and U2 a myriad of global festivals and nominations for awards throughout the musical spectrum: NME, Q, Mojo, UK Music Video, Mercury Prize, Rockbjornen and Vodafone Live to name a few.

2009 had been an exhilarating, chaotic year for Glasvegas and after two years on-the-road, the band decamped to Santa Monica, CA, moving into a multi-million dollar beach house to record their second album proper, ‘EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\’.  Frontman James Allan’s lyrics are more introspective on the new album and the band sees a leap beyond their trademark Phil Spector wall-of-sound into glittering new towers of electronic rock ‘n’ roll, even bigger, bolder, brighter and infinitely more personal.   The album features 11 stadium-ready thrillers that NME calls “a record that rings out with hope, fight and redemption.”

The first music available from the album is a free download ‘The World Is Yours’ which fans can get HERE.  Also, click HERE to watch the video for the first single “Euphoria Take My Hand.”
