Devin Townsend Project Announces North American Tour With Children of Bodom

Devin Townsend took over the progressive metal movement last year. With the release of ‘Addicted‘ and subsequent touring across the globe, the former STRAPPING YOUNG LAD frontman has never had a higher profile – a point proven by the numerous sell-out performances on his most recent European tour. This continues to be the case in 2011, as Devin Townsend gears up to release not one, but two brand new albums on June 20th via InsideOut Music. ‘Deconstruction’ and ‘Ghost’ are the final two chapters in Hevy Devy’s four-album concept series (along with ‘Ki’ and ‘Addicted’) and are sure to be two of the most talked about albums of the year!

Not only will Townsend release two new albums, but he is also excited to announce that he will serve as direct support to Children of Bodom on their upcoming tour through North America. Additional support on the trek will come from Septicflesh and Obscura, who will alternate the opening slot each night. Presented by REVOLVER Magazine and Guitar World, the tour will be Devin Townsend’s first to promote the new albums and sees him joining forces with one of metal’s most respected acts, Children of Bodom, on their first North American tour since 2009.
