Jim James announces September tour dates
Jim James isn’t a man to slow down. Over the past few months James has been on an unstoppable run, which included an appearance on David Letterman, a collaborative live-performance with The Roots in Prospect Park, and leading an all-star cast in one of the most magnificent Bonnaroo SuperJams the festival has ever seen. Not the mention a current string of My Morning Jacket dates on a little thing called the AmericanaramA Festival with Bob Dylan and Wilco. With no signs of letting up, James is thrilled to announce additional dates on his solo tour, which already includes stops at Loufest in St, Louis, MO and Telluride Blues and Brews Festival in Telluride, CO. The tour kicks off in Birmingham, AL on September 6th.
James’ existential space pop album Regions of Light and Sound of God is available now.
“Regions of Light…is a record of deceptive weight; its attraction unfolds over repeated exposure, as the pop and vintage soul hooks hovering in the electronics and James’ pleading falsetto creep to the front-and-center. Live, that happened right away, with an uplifting emphasis on the hip-hop urgency embedded [in them].” – Rolling Stone
