Stone Sour headlining US tour

Acclaimed Iowa rockers Stone Sour have unveiled details for their first headlining U.S. tour of 2014.  The cross-country trek kicked off on January 14th at the House of Blues in Lake Buena Vista, FL and continuse into mid-February. Tickets for all dates are currently on sale, with Pop Evil as support.

Furthermore, Stone Sour’s latest single “Tired,” which is featured on House of Gold & Bones Part 1 has climbed to #2 on the BDS Rock Chart.  This marks the band’s third Top 5 single from the House of Gold & Bones series – the other two being “Absolute Zero” from House of Gold & Bones Part 1 and “Do Me a Favor” from House of Gold & Bones Part 2.  What’s more, the critically revered House of Gold & Bones Part 2 has staked its claim amongst the best rock albums of 2013, earning high honors in Revolver’s “Top 20 Albums of 2013” with critic Richard Bienstock exclaiming, “the record grabs hold of listeners’ attention and imagination and refuses to let go.”  In addition, Noisecreep selected House of Gold & Bones Part 2 as one of their “Top 10 Rock + Metal Albums of 2013” and chose  the video for the album’s lead single, “Do Me a Favor” as the #1 “Music Video of 2013” while Loudwire picked “Do Me a Favor” as their #1 “Rock Song of 2013.”

House of Gold & Bones Part 2, rocketed onto the charts this past April, debuting in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and exceeding the strong first week sales of Part 1 which debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200 just six months prior.  A remarkable feat for Stone Sour and the two-part concept album – which follows a linear storyline written by singer Corey Taylor – marking four consecutive Top 10 album debuts for the group.
