The new season of Dennis Miller Live (Fridays at midnight, HBO) is continuing proof of the existence of smart topical comedy, even though I’m not willing to pay fifteen more dollars a month to get it unscrambled and you’ll need eight years of graduate school to understand half his references… watch for the Quentin Tarantino-directed episode of ER, Barry Levinson helming a segment of Homicide: Life on the Street, and Tobe Hooper’s bloody series finale of Full House… and finally, will ABC just save My So-Called Life already? Not like I’m a big fan or anything, but anything to keep those folks who are off the streets… and I see by the clock on the wall that I have no clock on the wall, but I should prob’ly go anyway. Over under sideways and out.
