Time to Fly really lacks in the tune department. Nothing much has changed in the way they play or put songs together, but none of them stick to the brain.
I must be a frilly-shirted fruitcake cuz I love this record! As songs like “Holy Thunderforce” roar and beat their chests, soloists like Yngwie run for cover.
More powerpop than punk, the five songs here are pretty solid, though not wholly remarkable. Their first released material aside from a couple comp tracks.
Comparisons to Manic Street Preachers are sure to surface, but Poor Rich Ones finds its own identity around vocalist William’s cool, ethereal falsetto.
