Araya’s voice and bass have never sounded so harsh. Same goes for King and Hanneman; their skills seem to progress while they gleefully torment the masses.
Mournful acoustic and laid back, noisy guitars are the rule until the last song, “Half-Truths,” which is fun, goofy, and lightens the mood at the last moment.
Brazil not only produced Sepultura, it produced Overdose. The two bands began at the same time, but Overdose has only recently made it to American ears.
