Glasseater are one of those not-very-good punk bands that copped a different, not-very-imaginative style (in this case hardcore yelling) and still sucks.
I’ve never understood the fuss about these guys… They aren’t nearly as good as Pretty Boy Floyd were, and they’re not as good as the Backyard Babies are.
Ball-out female-fronted rock firmly planted in the sound of today and a classic style that’s too busy having a blast to give a rat’s ass if you think it’s cool.
A natural, plug-in-the-amp-and-go! recording replicates the live thing. Pretty close to The Mushroom River Band, Hangnail, Spiritual Beggars, or Sally.
Dan the Automator has popped out of the woodwork again. Lounge-y hip hop beats with a too-slick feel, low-riding basses and shiny ’70s funk rhythm sections.
I played a few tracks but it wasn’t very good. Oh Kyuss, what has thy wrought? And why put a bad hardcore shouter in front of a band playing stoner rock?
A bit less wah-ridden, with more power chord mid-range punch than their previous slice, Neanderthal Speedway. “More nuts in the fudge,” as my mom used to say.
Ye olde punk’n’roll, as much pub rock ’76 as Clash ’76. I’d like to say “honest, unpretentious working class rock and roll,” but really .what does that mean?
