Half of Circle of Dust was Klank. The other half was Scott Albert. It was Albert’s voice and songwriting diversity that made Circle of Dust a real exception.
There’re sweet, melodic ska tunes, like the band’s cover of Coxsone Dodd’s “I Love You,” but then there’re also punchy, hectic numbers like “Phat Steaks.”
Someone, somewhere’s idea of a supergroup, Iron Lung Corp is the combined effort of two entire bands, Fifth Colvmn’s Acumen and Re-Constriction’s Clay People.
A thoughtful, sensitive, female (sounding)-fronted rock band. Some of the harder, more rockin’ songs combine the chugging guitars of pop rock of Descendents.
They put third wave on the map with their mix of ska, punk, hip hop, and funk. Lots of energy, excitement and enthusiasm, they put their all into every show.
