Trippy; that’s all you need to know. No vocals, crammed with spacey effects and sounds. Some poppy keyboards, some meaty guitars, mostly just colorful songs.
While keeping some of their hair-rock material for the old fans to chew on, much of the material is heavier than people might accredit the Cherry Pie boyz.
It features Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and a bunch of other bands that today’s tattooed, pierced “youth culture” victims will lap up like good consumers.
There’s gold on this compilation, and it is hoped, by this reviewer, that at least a few of these bands (especially Incinerator) release full-length offerings.
