Cheapness and Beauty is supposed to be a forum for George to proselytize on a number of subjects, but the lyrics rarely do little more than scratch the surface.
Singer/lyricist Rosie has a lazy, Speakeasy kinda voice reminiscent of Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier. I’m reminded of I Dream of Genie when I listen to this.
Thicket strays even further into Floydian territory and is soothing and groovable because of it. Good zoning-out rock, but kinda unremarkable otherwise.
