Judging by their wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am pacing (nine songs, 27 minutes) and a gut feeling, I’d say these guys are old punk rockers who made a rock record.
The performances are good, but there’s just no substitute for being there. If you’re into Black Label Society, check out the studio albums and see them live.
Roadsaw’s songs, an original called “Busted Monk” and a completely uncharacteristic Pixies cover, “Where Is My Mind?,” offer an utterly baffling combination.
Are any of these five albums essential? No. Are there 15-20 songs that are absolutely unforgettable and fully deserving of their classic status? You bet.
