With their second album, Irreligious, Moonspell once again embellish Gothic, eclectic metal with class. The eleven-song opus of grandeur isn’t easily grasped.
The guitar and drums are so heavy, mean, tuned-low, and brutal, that one will have no trouble recognizing this as an uncompromising death metal release.
Christian Death just isn’t the same without Rozz Williams or Gitane Demone. But Amen isn’t all bad. A double live CD with extremely good recording quality.
