Like many great bands, they’re post this, and post that, chaotic and messy and indescribable. Keyboards and clanking noise and catchiness. Real alternative.
The album’s got a real wild, live feel. Tim Kerr produced it, and he likes everybody to get riled up in the studio. Shouting and whooping from all directions.
Strong vocals, full-bodied tunes constructed of hard pop rock, a bit of Ramones drilling, a handful of the first couple Joan Jett and the Blackhearts LPs.
Synth-rock without some big freakin’ pretension of art. Kinda like, I dunno, Servatron, like mebbe if Devo had been as cool as everyone assumes them to be.
Vanessa, the guitarist, is also in Bell. The drummer, Steve, was in The Gits. There’s no one else in the band, they both sing and they’ve sorta got an X vibe.
Dead Moon is legendary. Dead Moon’s the fuckin’ shit, okay? Dead Moon will play for hours, or mebbe it just seems that way, not like in a bad way, either.
