Part band-bio (Slichter was the drummer for Semisonic) and part music-biz expose, this book has the potential to appeal to several distinct groups of people.
While most of the covers of Saturday morning television songs are fun to listen to, I prefer the originals. But the packaging is magnificent and informative.
The bland, torturous pop music of Semisonic is the sound Hootie makes as he struggles to keep singing and pretend that the Blowfish isn’t eating him alive.
