Bracket – 924 Forestville St. – Review

Bracket

924 Forestville St. (Caroline)
by Joey Ammo

Bracket all hail from the same small town. The town is Forestville, after which they named their debut, 924 Forestville St. (Caroline). Power punk-pop comes booming off the record at you. Crunching, distorted guitars mow a smile across your face as you’re saturated with the infectious melodies. The boyhood influences of Cheap Trick, AC/DC, and the Kinks are apparent, while the lyrical sentiment reflects the growing experiences they shared in their small town. Humble and self-deprecating, they go by first names only and often decline encores.
