Day-Glo Abortions – Little Man in the Canoe – Review

Day-Glo Abortions

Little Man in the Canoe (God)
by Joshua Brown

These Canucks were always the quintessential skate-punk band for me and my friends back in the ’80s. Feed Us a Fetus was pretty much the ultimate album to us. It’s hard to believe Day-Glo Abortions are still doing the same thing. I never would have been caught dead saying this before, but maybe there is something to the whole straight-edge schtick. Those guys have progressed into bands like Quicksand and Fugazi who are vital to today’s scene, while the get-wasted-all-day-every-day crowd hasn’t moved an inch and don’t have much to offer today’s youth, I guess it’s still enjoyable enough, though.
