The sudden rejuvenation of Hugh Grant’s career has not gone unnoticed in Century City. Watch for CBS’ new reality-based newsmagazine, $48/Hr., which follows various second-string celebs as they couple with L.A. prostitutes in hopes of a comeback. Scheduled to appear: Anthony Michael Hall, Donny Osmond, and Webster‘s Emmanuel Lewis… speaking of CBS, the Irrelev – I mean, Tiffany Network has denied rumors that their recent $5 billion purchase by Westinghouse is going to alter their programming in any way, shape, or form. Evidently, that wise-cracking blender added to the cast of Chicago Hope was strictly an artistic decision… and finally, in the Never-Let-A-Fucked-Idea-Die Dept., Steven (NYPD Blue) Bochco, in response to the slew of hospital shows now on the air, is about to unveil his new project, Doc Rock, which he describes as “tension, romance, and sundry bodily fluids, but with a beat.” I’ve seen the raw footage, and I gotta say, you’ve never heard a tracheotomy scar croon quite like that… and that’s all from here.
