You can’t use the same kinds of comparisons to describe techno music as you do to describe rock ‘n’ roll. You must rate it more by bodily response. As I’ve heard it said, techno is like science fiction, it’s easy to write badly and get away with it. Just kinda let your computer take over and kick back. Begun as a side project of Ozric Tentacles that eventually eclipsed the primary band, Eat Static write good science fiction.
