Just about split down the middle between hardcore and hip-hop coverage. The magazine is run by the members of Dare to Defy (and, surprise, there’s a feature story about themselves), who also own Too Damn Hype Records. Interviews include Rancid, Into Another, Fat Joe, Souls of Mischief, Fear, and Voodoo Glow Skulls. Along with the usual music and ‘zine reviews (most of which are informative, especially the All That Strange music review), there are numerous fun features such as “The Top Ten Differences Between Hip-Hop and Hardcore,” and a 3-way forum on all sorts of topics between Krishna-core man, Ray Cappo of Shelter, DJ Hurricane of the Beastie Boys, and Ares of death metallers, Moonspell. All That‘s look is professional, but not big-money. Good job.
