Iron Maiden – The X-Factor – Review

Iron Maiden

Since their heyday in the mid-eighties with classics like Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind and Powerslave, Iron Maiden have lost their might as new and mightier bands ripped the metal mantle from their clutches. With a new release and a new, less-than-powerful throat man, Iron Maiden attempt to make a difference in the ’90s with their new album The X Factor. Unfortunately, The X-Factor packs about as much wallop as a VW careening into a hedge. Now, the heaviest thing about Maiden is their gory cover graphics with a model of zombie-mascot Eddie by Hugh Syme (of Rush and Megadeth cover-art fame).
