Big Catholic Guilt has always been totally hit or miss on a personal level. I believe the catch phrase is “you’re either on the bus or off the bus.” Sometimes the energy being released inspires you to release your own pent-up aggression, thus feeding the overall entropy; other times, you feel like you’re watching something that might as well be on TV for all it engages you emotionally and physically. Unfortunately, this was an example of the latter. While it doesn’t taint my lasting impression of a band I’ve seen countless times and really wish had been able to “make it,” it’s kind of a bummer that the final moments lacked a sense of closure. Oh well, plenty of people were jammed up to the stage, faces glistening, totally in the moment.
