Why don’t they just call these guitar hero albums Vinnie Plays More Songs, And He Can Teach ‘Em To You If You Enroll In One Of His Clinics? This isn’t out of nowhere, it came from the same place as the last slew of while-my-guitar-gently-weeps-so-I-don’t-have-to-hire-a-vocalist releases. That slew followed the damn-I’m-fast-huh? trend. Vinnie laboriously credits his lofty inspirations (much like Vai did years ago) and makes me appreciate his guitar genius all the more, mostly in contrast to his really pathetic attempts at verbal profundity.
