The first two songs are purely voice driven. Brother Tom’s beautiful baritone, ringing clear as a bell, holds notes luxuriously, dips slightly between notes, then returns to pitch, vibrating as only a human voice can. Occasionally, keyboards, dulcimers, and guitars fade in and out, but the voice, and its echoing layers, make this a perfect CD for a quiet night by candlelight.
