This concept album was recorded in ’88 and ’89 but never released, then touched up by Quorthon and the gang in ’95, and is now released in ’96. Containing the best and worst elements of powermetal and doom circa ’88 and ’95, this album is a gem and a turd at the same time. Reactions range from “Man, they just don’t write songs like this anymore!” to “Thank God they don’t write songs like this anymore!”
