In the post-Nirvana world we live in, I suppose there’s some comfort in knowing that if we need an imitation-Kurt fix, one is readily available. “Revved Up” opens with feedback that sounds like it was sampled from “Radio Friendly Unit Shifter,” and while the remainder of Broadcaster isn’t a complete bite-off, the similarities are obvious. That the band’s A&R guy is Gary Gersh, who signed Nirvana to DGC, proves that it’s all relative.
