In Dust We Trust – Review

In Dust We Trust

(Invisible)
by Chris Best

As far as label samplers go, this is alright. It’s good promotion for a label that, unfortunately, has yet to prove itself. The first track, Sheep On Drugs‘ “X-Lover (critter remix),” is worth the price of the CD. The other tracks range from long, plodding numbers to dancy ones. Fans of Psychic TV will be pleased by one by them, and one track from Genesis P-Orridge with Splinter Test. Test Dept. fans will cream their pants to get one remix (actually, a pretty damn good one) and an unreleased track not on their new album. TD fans be warned, this is not going to sound like A Good Night Out. If you like samplers, if you’re a fan of the Invisible label and you want a good sampler, this is darn good.
