Godflesh – Love & Hate in Dub – Review

Godflesh

Love & Hate in Dub (Earache)
by Chaz Thorndike

Not just another trendy remix album designed to supplement sales of Songs of Love and Hate, Godflesh deconstruct the songs, crank up the gut-wrenching bass (so deep and rumbling it actually might upset your stomach), and lead us through a nightmarish steel factory of clanking, rage, and mechanized motions. While not exactly the most captivating music in creation, at least the Eurotrash dancing monkeys will hate it, and that’s reason enough for its existence. Love and Hate in Dub throbs like a hangover, staggering blindly, hallucinating, morbid, and pissed as hell.
