The Racketeers – Boston’s Infamous Rockabilly Racket – Review

The Racketeers

Boston’s Infamous Rockabilly Racket
by Scott Hefflon

The boppin’ sounds of rockabilly are all the rage, kids, so put on yer dancin’ shoes, turn yer collar up all tuff-like, and get hep to the swingin’ stylings of The Racketeers. Dana can croon with the big daddies, but he’s got a hankerin’ for hollerin’ and gettin’ the dancefloor filled with twistin’ and shoutin’ teens. While this demo’s a mere three songs (same on the flipside for fast action thrills), the duel guitars are a-rippin’, the stand-up bass is walkin’ fat as a cat, and the tunes’ll put a smile on yer face, a spring in yer step, and a song on yer lips. And what’s wrong with that? Absolutely nothing.
