Keoki – Ego-Trip – Review

Keoki

Ego-Trip (Moonshine)
by Lex Marburger

Running the line between self-indulgence and one hell of a party, Ego-Trip is an appropriate name. Keoki has given us an album where he gets to make us dance as well as toot his own horn. What I mean is that the grooves are exciting, like in “Me” and “Blow,” but at the same time, he carries on a bit too long. That’s fine when I’m wired, so I’ll put it on at parties. Otherwise, it would start getting on my nerves. Kudos to Keoki for adding annoying sounds to the mix, like squealing saxophones.
