I usually have blind faith in Fan Attic’s Ron Lacer’s judgment. He unearths gems in the Boston punk scene before most of us have ever heard of ’em. So I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt on Bratface. Perhaps buried somewhere in this authentically shitty-sounding recording is a great fuck-all punk band, but I’ll be damned if I can hear it. Seeing as how the credits read like an underground who’s who, perhaps Bratface is onto something (or at least on something interesting), but they seem like just another hate-fueled, kill-kill, everything sucks, I’m proud to be dum (sic) punk band. Perhaps they rock live, who knows?
