Growl-by-numbers death metal. Brutal and powerfully produced by Abyss’ (and Hypocracy’s and Pain’s) Peter Tägtgren, but the lack of dynamics makes this a relaxing CD, as opposed to the gut-rending adrenalinefest I’m sure the band intended. As one steady blur of what might as well be the same song, Fleshcrawl bring about the altered state of non-think, a tranquility achieved by overwhelming blasts of monotonous energy. A pleasant side effect, but probably not what the band was going for.
