Midvinter – At the Sight of the Apocalypse Dragon – Review

Midvinter

At the Sight of the Apocalypse Dragon (Metal Blade)
by Scott Hefflon

This is the definition of a one-off deal. What began as a side-project was later plagued with troubles, and all members have since moved on to other projects (or, as the hype would have you believe, disappeared without a trace). Then why do we care? Really, we don’t. But it was produced by King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque, it’s pretty evil in a paint-yer-face-by-numbers way, and seeing as each song is eight or nine minutes long (totaling over an hour), that’s a lot of black metal for yer buck.
