Consumed – Breakfast at Pappa’s – Review

Consumed

Breakfast at Pappa’s (Fat)
by Scott Hefflon

Fat signed these guys before they even had a single out. If that encourages you to pay heed (plus a few bucks, hopefully) to Nottinghamshire, England’s Consumed‘s debut, then there it is. Add to the mix that Andy Sneap (he of Napalm Death, and Machine Head fame) produced Breakfast at Pappa‘s, and the cover artist, Mark Ransford, and even the layout guy, Mike Ford, deserve honorable mention, and perhaps you’ll find yourself rushing out to buy this before I finish this sentence. But is the record good? It’s OK, but the things I like most about this heavy punk band is that they remind me of Wretch Like Me. But without the sense of humor. Yer call, kids.
