Strip Jointz 2 – More Hot Songs for Sexy Dancers – Review

Strip Jointz 2

More Hot Songs for Sexy Dancers (Robbins Entertainment)
by Queen Ruth E.

Cory Robbins and Jonathan P. Fine have done their homework in creating a versatile compilation that is both dancer-and-patron-friendly. Strip Jointz 2 – More Hot Songs for Sexy Dancers delivers a well-rounded mix of singles including rap, disco, R&B, soul, pop, and funk (such as Seattle bad boy Sir Mix-A-Lot‘s “Baby Got Back” and the all-time classic for dancing and love-making, Marvin Gaye‘s “Let’s Get It On”). Strip Jointz 2 is dancer-friendly because the songs and song lengths are listed clearly on the CD and range from three to five minutes (a must for the busy dancer picking out twenty-minute sets!), and it’s patron-friendly because the selections span three decades and just about everyone will like at least one track. I was impressed with this compilation, except for its packaging which seemed, let’s say, “separatist.” Inside the CD is an unflattering poster of Traci Bingham and a request for consumer input for future Strip Jointz compilations (how about some Sly and the Family Stone or some Beastie Boys?). There’s a free poster offered to the first fifty consumers who respond… Well, is it a black girl poster or a white girl poster?
