Sounds like it was recorded by an irate next-door neighbor as evidence for proposed legal action against our heroes (best described as “the Cramps on a budget they could scarcely afford to be fabulous on”). I don’t wanna belabor the point, but the sound is actually worse than “bad” bands like Supercharger. Still, it’s good for a couplea laughs. Their rockabilly cover of “Helter Skelter” could lead to a law-suit by, in descending order of probability, a) Michael Jackson, b) Paul McCartney, c) the estate of Charlie Feathers, d) Hasil Adkins.
