Techie-fuzz feeds back over nymphic girl voices, sighing major key fantasies over syncopated heartbeats. For so much buzzy noise, this is very gentle stuff, like pink bumblebees riding radio waves. Vocalist Julie Shields, sometimes harmonizing with her own sweet child sounds, evokes pastel mirages of reflective Lolitas and contemplative Cozettes. In a world of ash and grime-thick bottleglass smashed just to shove minor key scrapes into your retinas, here’s a nice spoonful of stars for your eyes.
