Straight from Manchester, demented trip hop, dark, gravelly vocals, a sweet, accented woman’s voice, ominous chanting, heavy bass… Geez, this could be Tricky’s cousin … Wait! It is Tricky’s cousin! And it’s on Tricky’s label! Well, that makes sense, at least… And it’s a good listen when the OG (Original Gravel)’s CDs grow too complex. Too many remixes of the title track, tho. The original’s not good enough to work with in the first place. Keep at it, kid.
