The Milwaukees – Missile Command – Review

The Milwaukees

Missile Command (Childlike/Forest)
by Tim Den

Chisel, Teenage Fan Club, and Dinosaur Jr. would be proud… The Milwaukees are going to continue the legacy of beautifully-sung indie pop left behind by these big shots, and they’re going to do a damn good job of it. I don’t even know which characteristic of the band I should pinpoint and examine, because it all sounds so nicely fit together, and I’m just too busy enjoying myself to be nit-picky, even in a postive sense. It’s hard enough trying to type while attempting to soar my voice along with the giant Pop (with a capitol P) choruses. This can go next to your Live album (the one that was decent), Toad The Wet Sprocket (fuck you, they were good whether or not you knew it), or Vertical Horizon (just that one single) stuff. I will play this over and over and over and over…
