I know a lot of people have been dissing this album, and I know why. Ad Rock is expected to do more with his time, right? But I mean, c’mon… This shit is funny. BS2000 is Ad Rock and some other dude fuckin’ around on a drum machine/sampler and a Casio. If you accept the kitsch and try not to be so damn cynical and ironic, it’s pretty fun. Maybe it’s cuz I don’t expect him to do better. Whatever, it’s cool. For those who need to know, there’s funk, there’s rock, some silly stuff (a kid saying “I like BS”), and a powerful indie rock vibe floats over it all. You know you want it.
