I’m getting Travelling Wilberrys flashbacks here… Basically, Swag is a supergroup no one’s ever heard of, and that’s OK cuz it’s not like anyone here’s starving to death. Ken Coomer (Wilco), Jerry Dale McFadden (Sixpence None the Richer), Robert Reynolds (The Mavericks), Doug Powell, and Tom Petersson (Cheap Trick) get together in Nashville when they get the chance, simply because they love to play ’60s garage rock and innocent Britpop. Plenty of Beatles and Cheap Trick influences on display, and special guests on the record and at live shows are par for the course.
