No wonder these guys are signed to Adeline (Billy Joe Armstrong’s label). Some of The Influents used to be in Billy Joe’s sideband, Pinhead Gunpowder, and some were in the garage pop-rock underdogs The Receivers. This means lots of Green Day-ish tempos, vocal harmonies in (mostly) thirds (music geek talk), and jangly standard chords that seem to open the skies right up. Play this on a sunny day and go for a scenery joyride.
