The Rosenbergs got a good amount of press when they signed with Robert Fripp’s DGM cuz it was a kind of “new template” for record deals, sharing this and retaining that and embracing the other thing, but anyone with a memory remembers these guys being a pretty damn good pop band who milked their first record, Ameripop on some “who?” label, for all it was worth, netting play on Party of Five, Dawson’s Creek, and some high-profile tour spots usually reserved for high-profile bands. Sweet, catchy Britpop (relocated to NYC, but back in the UK now, I believe), not better or worse than the rest, but much more resourceful, for whatever that’s worth.
