Thursday has improved even more since their excellent debut, Waiting. Now signed to Victory and boasting more depth and colors, Full Collapse is an emotional wrestling match between All That Is Emo and All That Is NJ Post-Hardcore.

Lots of interesting arpeggios and instrument harmonies, loads of breakdowns, heartfelt singing (that sounds a lot like Jeff Ott’s), At The Drive-In-ish guitar pull-offs, and none of the stubborn predictability that these kinds of hybrid bands never stray from. Okay, so it hasn’t reinvented anything, but it accomplishes what it sets out to do: Play slightly more visceral post-hardcore with real effort and emotions.
