Damn… these guys aren’t even on Deep Elm yet (though they’re scheduled to appear on one of The Emo Diaries) and they’ve already got the label’s patented sound down. Time Spent Driving reminds me of Cross My Heart, in that the production’s killer, the singing’s articulate, the emotions are well-balanced, the melodrama is turned down, and the instrumental dynamics are well thought out. As broken-hearted as any Deep Elm band, these guys are one of the best small emo bands I’ve heard recently.
