Skyhorse Jams (This Dark Reign)

Basic biker-slanted doom rock with vocals roughed up enough so no one will mistake it for a Sabbath demo. On the Spirit Caravan side of things, but much more rudimentary. Reach doesn’t exceed grasp, so it works. Puts me in mind of Goliath’s The Gate: Somehow allied with the premise of non-glam, non-tech ’80s pig-iron metal. Also, something endearing in its bash-it-out-in-the-basement feel. Remember, I’m a drone guy. It doesn’t take much more than an interrupted loud hum to keep me occupied…
