They may be from Finland, but Enter My Silence sound like they came from the Gothenburg death metal scene, yet arrived a few years too late. These guys have talent, great production, and riffs aplenty, but they sound just like Dark Tranquility on their classic The Mind’s I. I’m a big fan of the original Swedish scene, but EMS haven’t contributed any new pages to the book, and this keeps me from really digging them. The world has enough originals from Sweden and too many clones already… Not a bad debut as such, but there’s too much good stuff out there to spend your salad on.
